Alison Chaiken I adore this new album, which one moment is swinging and the next moment contemplative. The listener can easily pick out all the individual players without any sense of tedious turn-taking, as the sound seems particularly crisp. The tap-dancing doesn't stand out; it just sounds like more percussion.
